At the Cyber ​​Literacy Marathon, experts will teach Crimeans how to protect themselves from scammers

In October, the “Cyber ​​Literacy Marathon” will start in Crimea, a joint project of the Branch for the Republic of Crimea of ​​the Bank of Russia and the Regional Management Center of the Republic of Crimea. As part of the marathon, experts from the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea, as well as specialists in psychology and information security, will perform weekly for a month. Speakers will talk about the existing schemes and tricks of financial fraudsters and share recommendations and ways to protect against cyber fraud.

Announcements and broadcasts will be available on the page of the Official Group of the Government of Crimea «Republic of Crimea» in social networks «VKontakte and Odnoklassniki» . On the same resource, as well as in the accounts of the administrations of cities and regions of the peninsula, video recordings of each speaker’s broadcasts will be posted.

The idea to hold such a marathon arose due to the active interaction on the topic of cybersecurity of relevant departments and organizations in Crimea, which allows you to regularly exchange the necessary information and experience, which means responding in a timely manner to cases of remote theft of citizens’ funds , explains Mikhail Nakov. — In addition, just now in the regions of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District, the «Week of Cyber ​​Literacy» is being held, organized by the Southern GU of the Bank of Russia. Everyone can participate in interactive sessions, webinars and master classes, test their knowledge and take express training, which will help them to recognize fraudulent financial schemes in the future and save their money.
