At the Peter and Paul Cathedral of Sevastopol, they will partially preserve the historical staircase

At a meeting of the architectural and art council, a project of overhaul of stairs in the square at the temple of Peter and Paul was approved. During the discussion, it was decided to use historical materials in the repair of stairs.

Part of the stairs will be made of historical materials, which will maintain the appearance of the square. In place of the steps of the already lost over time, new ones made of materials as close as possible in the color scheme will be installed. The retaining walls will be cleaned and restored coatings,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol I.O. Deputy Governor Maxim Zhukalov.

Council members approved the project taking into account these proposals.

Recall that last year the square was thoroughly repaired at the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

Students of SevU took part in the project. Comfortable benches, lawn appeared here. The columns of Inkerman stone, which were at the entrance, were completely restored according to archival materials.
