From March 6, traffic will be blocked in the direction from the road junction at the 5th km of the Balaklava highway towards General Ostryakov Avenue and back. This is due to the reconstruction of the transport interchange. The restriction will be valid until November 2025 for all modes of transport, except for public transport. I reported about it. The work is carried out within the framework of the state program «Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol». To date, the works are entering an active phase, they involve the transfer of engineering communications, such as a contact network, water supply network, cable lines. Carrying out these works is associated with the blocking of traffic— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Stanislav Tamataev.

According to him, the restriction will not apply to the operation of public transport due to the fact that there is a large transport interchange hub nearby, which serves more than 40 routes and about 50,000 passengers a day. At the same time, trolleybus routes will not enter the Ogurets junction due to the dismantling of the contact network; when leaving the storage area, they will turn left. It will be possible to bypass the work area by personal transport at the intersection of Khrustalev Street and General Ostryakova Avenue, as well as along the City Highway to the intersection with Balaklavsky Highway.

The Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development encourages this information to be taken into account when planning a route.

Recall that the busiest direction in Sevastopol is «Sevastopol — the port of Kamyshovaya Bay» — City Highway. Soon the Kamyshovoye Highway will become part of the Tavrida highway, and the reconstruction of the interchange at the intersection of the Sevastopol-Port Kamyshovaya Bukhta and General Ostryakov — st. Khrustalev (5th km of Balaklava Highway) «will make the interchange two-level. One of the lanes will provide transit traffic between the respective directions, the second will serve for the entry and exit of vehicles from adjacent territories.
