At a meeting of the Government of Sevastopol under the chairmanship of the governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, it was decided that the movement on the street. Admiral Oktyabrsky will be blocked from February 17 in order to repair retaining walls.

During the overhaul, retaining walls will be restored on both sides of the road. The term of completion of work is until the end of 2025. The WAD company, which built the 7th and 8th stages of the Tavrida highway in our city, will be repaired. The visual appearance of the wall will be approved by the architectural and artistic council.

Through Admiral Oktyabrsky, 41 public transport route passes, there are buses of small, medium and large classes, as well as trolleybuses. On average, 120 units of public transport passes on the street per hour. It is impossible to organize a reverse movement for the period of work. Therefore, the street will be blocked. Public and personal transport will go around,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The main bypass tracks during the overhaul of the retaining wall will be the streets of Schmidt and Demidov. But now on both streets you need to put a temporary road surface.

The fact is that both Schmidt and on Demidov have areas of coating from a historical paving stones, as well as a network of engineering communications that lie at abnormal depth and, possibly, are in disrepair. It turns out that if you leave everything as it is, then we will not be able to ensure safety even for «topics». Therefore, at a meeting of the Government of Sevastopol, we allocated 50 million rubles to the Department of Transport for the overhaul of both streets— notes the governor.

Please note that the paving stones will be preserved, as this is part of the Sevastopol cultural code. During the repair, road services will be removed — they will be taken for temporary storage to the base of the «Sevastopol Avtodor»; At the site of the paving stones, a temporary coating will be placed. After the repair of the retaining wall is over, and the load on the road surface will decrease, the paving stones will be returned to its place. Note that a similar algorithm with paving stones was used on Suvorov Street.

At the same time, the geometry of the streets of Demidov and Schmidt — corners of turns, longitudinal slope — will allow you to organize only small class buses on them.

For the movement of public transport of medium and large classes, it is planned to change the schemes of their movement to travel along the streets of Gogol and Captain.

Captainskaya street will be open for exclusively a few bus routes, in compliance with all precautions.
