Attention! Weather conditions are expected to worsen in Crimea. The authorities say they are ready

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A working meeting was held in Simferopol on the passage of a complex of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena in the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

In particular, we considered the issue of organizing the clearing of river beds located in the Simferopol region in order to prevent flooding of the territories and disruption of the life of the population. He instructed the heads of administrations of cities and regions of the Republic of Crimea to ensure the readiness of autonomous power sources at socially significant facilities, as well as the prompt clearing of storm drains, pipe bridges and crossings in order to ensure the throughput of rainwater, as well as the readiness of emergency teams, engineering equipment and special equipment,” the press service of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk quotes.

According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, in the first half of the day on November 20, in the southern and eastern regions of Crimea, the north-west wind of 20-25 m/s is expected to increase. Under these conditions, there is a high probability of emergencies caused by accidents at energy facilities, housing and communal services, possible disruption of transport communications, and obstruction of vehicle traffic on roads, especially in areas of mountain passes.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea recommends observing safety measures: citizens need to exercise extreme caution and not go into mountainous and forested areas; refrain from going to the sea and inland waters; do not go to embankments and bank protection structures; when on the street, pay attention to the integrity of overhead power lines, contact networks of electric vehicles and tree branches; do not stay or park vehicles near billboards, weakly reinforced structures, power lines and trees; Drivers of vehicles must be extremely careful on the road, do not exceed the speed limit and strictly adhere to traffic rules. In case of emergency, citizens of Crimea need to call the Unified Duty Dispatch Service “112”.
