State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Blood Center» invites everyone to join the «donor Saturday», which is dedicated to the Day of Physical Culture and will be held on August 10, 2024, from 8:00 to 12:00 at the address: Simferopol, Kyiv Street, 37.
Physical Culture Day is celebrated annually on the second Saturday of August. It is celebrated in honor of those people who pay great attention to their own health. Many of them are also active donors.
Anyone who is willing to provide free real help to people in need of donor blood, but cannot do so during the work week, can take part in the «donor Saturday». The main condition is the absence of medical contraindications.
Let us recall that in the summer in Crimea the number of active voluntary donors sharply decreases. This is due to vacations of workers, holidays of students, ailments due to heat, etc. And the need for donor blood remains at the usual level or even increases due to the influx of tourists and vacationers.
By donating blood, we save other people’s lives and strengthen our own bodies! The Blood Center is waiting for you!
