On the stage of the Sevastopol Theater for Young Spectators, the Sevastopol Festival «Pierrot» for the second time will unite all lovers of acting songs on the cozy stage of the Theater for Young Spectators.
More than a century ago, on the Primorsky Boulevard of Sevastopol, already engulfed by the storms of the Civil War, a man who became a symbol of an actor’s song, Alexander Vertinsky, wondered about his future. A hundred meters from the «Shell» — in the hotel «Kist» — he stopped, two hundred — in the theater «Renaissance» — he sang the famous arieta. In memory of the “great storyteller of the Russian land” (according to Chaliapin), the “eternal Pierrot”, the Sevastopol branch of the STD of the Russian Federation and the Sevastopol Theater for Young Spectators, with grant support from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the support of the Department of Culture of the city, established an acting song festival in 2022, participation in which was attended by more than twenty famous artists representing the Sevastopol Youth Theater, the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater. In 2023, the festival will continue its work thanks to grant support from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. Artistic director of the festival — Sevastopol Lyudmila Orshanskaya. There are many talented musicians, poets, composers among Sevastopol artists — you will be able to see this very soon. During the festival, anyone can visit the theater and support the artists. To do this, you need to purchase a ticket on the website of SevTyuZ.rf or at the box office of the theater (Prospekt Gagarin, 16). On August 28 at 18.3 the competition program starts, and on August 29 at the gala concert at the same time the festival jury will announce the first names of the winners in the nominations «Soloist» and «Ensemble» and, of course, the name of the owner of the Grand Prix. Perhaps one of them will become what descendants will call «one of the greatest designers and fashion designers of the author’s song» and the new Vertinsky.
