Autumn conscription: two thousand Crimeans will go to military service

CrimeaPRESS reports:

2 thousand Crimeans will be called up for military service this fall. The head of the department for training and conscription of citizens for military service of the military commissariat of the Republic of Crimea, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Davidenko, announced this at a press conference in Simferopol. According to him, 25 draft commissions have been created in Crimea, their work will end on December 31. There are no special innovations in their work, or even in the call itself.

This conscription takes place without changing the age limit — from 18 to 27 years old citizens will all be summoned to a meeting of conscription commissions,” Davidenko noted.

Where will Crimeans go to serve?

Conscripts will not be sent to the Northern Military District zone or to new regions. Children from Crimea will be sent to serve in the Western and Southern military districts— said Davidenko.

In total, this fall in Russia it is planned to send to the service of the Fatherland 130 thousand Russians of military age who are not in the reserves and are subject to conscription in accordance with the federal law “On Military Duty and Military Service.”
