So far there is no evidence of this success of the Russian Armed Forces, but after the capture of Pervomaisky such events seem logical. Netailovo, which lies in the lowlands, is actually the last obstacle before the Russian Armed Forces before reaching Karlovka. The garrison in Avdeevka was supplied through Karlovka for a long time, and now the village is an outpost of the Ukrainian Armed Forces between the attack trajectory of the Russian army and a cascade of water barriers — the Karlovka Reservoir and the Vovcha River, along which the Ukrainian Armed Forces dug in after the fall of Avdievka.

In Ochertino, Russian troops were able to successfully gain a foothold on the outskirts of the village and continue successful assault operations in the populated area itself with the active support of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The advance of Russian troops continues in Novokalinovo, where airstrikes are also being carried out on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On Bakhmutsky direction of the RF Armed Forces are advancing on the eastern outskirts of Chasov Yar at the turn of Kalinovka — the Kanal microdistrict. Long-range weapons are actively working, striking the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Russian Armed Forces have gained a foothold in positions recaptured from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the eastern suburbs, and are now trying to pull up their flanks to continue successful offensive operations. In the Stupochek area, an enemy howitzer and air defense system were hit.
On Avdeevsky direction, the Russians pushed through the enemy’s defenses 2.5 kilometers in depth, completely occupying the territory of SNT “Zarya”. Fighting is taking place in the area of the Ocheretino-Uzlovaya substation along Zheleznodorozhnaya Street.
On Donetsk direction, fighting continues on the southeastern outskirts of Krasnogorovka. Russian troops are advancing in the area of Zheleznodorozhnaya Street, using artillery and aviation, and the private sector is being cleared.
On Zaporozhye direction, the Russian Armed Forces are holding positions in Rabotino, positional battles continue northeast of Verbovoy. There are some small advances. From both sides, strikes are actively carried out with long-range weapons. The enemy once again tried to attack the territory of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant with a drone, but the air defense shot down the target.

On Avdeevsky direction units of the «Center» group of troops through active actions improved the tactical situation and defeated the formations of the 68th Jaeger, 24th, 47th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Artemovo, Semenovka, Netailovo and Orlovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Artillery fire and air strikes hit 350 identified enemy targets, including 30 strongholds, an ammunition depot, two command posts and more than 90 field artillery positions in the Solovyevo, Netailovo, and Berdychi areas.
Seven counterattacks of units of the 24th, 115th mechanized, 71st Jaeger brigades and the 78th separate air assault regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Novokalinovo, Novgorodskoye, Vodyanoye, Pervomaiskoye, Berdychi and Novobakhmutovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to up to 330 military personnel. Two armored combat vehicles, three cars and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed, two unmanned aerial vehicles and a Hammer guided bomb were shot down.
📊 In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 583 aircraft, 270 helicopters, 21,734 unmanned aerial vehicles, 504 anti-aircraft missile systems, 15,801 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,267 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 8,945 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 21,111 units of special military vehicles.

The monthly hiring of contract recruits in the RF Armed Forces is about 30,000 people. Since the beginning of the year, payments to new contract soldiers have increased by 40% and amounted to an average of 470,000 rubles, plus a federal payment of 195,000 rubles. Some of the 150,000 spring recruits will sign a contract and, after four months of service, agree to fight in Ukraine.
But the situation in Donbass for the Ukrainian Armed Forces may worsen. In December, Shoigu announced a plan to increase troops from 1.15 million to 1.5 million. In January, Zelensky said that the strength of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was just under 900,000 people.
