On May 9, at 15:20, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a message that in the area of the “Barskaya Polyana” tourist camp, a group of vacationers who were staying in the Danilcha-Koba cave needed the help of rescuers. According to the applicants, they cannot go down the mountain path to the parking lot of their cars. The duty shift of the Bakhchisarai emergency rescue team «CRIMEA-SPAS» went to the scene of the incident.
Upon arrival at the Barskaya Polyana m/s, rescuers met with employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, who were also sent to provide assistance. As it turned out, a group of tourists, which included 5 adults and 4 children, took refuge in a cave from the rain, but subsequently were unable to go down the steep path due to its erosion. Rescuers helped the victims cover a distance of about 1 km along a rather steep, slippery path (slope — 25-30 degrees). Subsequently, the group was taken to the t/s “Kokkozka”, where their personal cars were located. No one needed medical attention— the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea gave details.
