Bailiffs collected alimony debt in the amount of 208 thousand rubles from a Simferopol resident

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A resident of Simferopol for a long time did not make alimony payments for the maintenance of his two minor children and accumulated a debt to them in the amount of 203 thousand rubles. Citizen T., the mother of children, sued citizen B. and, according to the court decision, the latter was ordered to repay the debt to the collector in full. Citizen B. was in no hurry to help his former family, and soon the bailiff of the bailiff department for the Kyiv district of Simferopol of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol initiated enforcement proceedings against him, which were subsequently combined into consolidated enforcement proceedings. Knowing this, citizen B. did not take any action to repay the accumulated debt.

For untimely execution of the court decision, the bailiff of the department issued a resolution against the debtor to collect an enforcement fee in the amount of five thousand rubles. Citizen B.’s bank accounts were also seized, and he himself was temporarily restricted in the right to travel outside of Russia. But even after this, the debtor did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself, and as a result, the bailiff of the bailiff department for the Kyiv district of Simferopol of the Main Directorate of the Federal Service for the Bailiff Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol brought citizen B. to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 5.35.1 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. According to the court decision, the debtor was sentenced to 20 hours of compulsory labor. However, after serving his sentence, citizen B. continued to evade paying alimony for the maintenance of his children,” noted the department’s press service.

Subsequently, the bailiff warned the debtor that in case of refusal to pay the alimony debt, he would be brought to criminal liability under Art. 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Only the fear of facing possible restrictions on freedom prompted citizen B. to repay his existing debts to his minor children in full.
