Bank protection structures continue to be restored in the Yalta region

According to the head of the Yalta city administration, Yanina Pavlenko, work is currently ongoing to restore the bank protection structures damaged as a result of the “storm of the century” in November last year.
In total, damage to 56 objects was recorded in the Greater Yalta area, of which 23 required major repairs. 4.5 billion rubles have been allocated from the federal budget for these purposes– the press service quotes Yanina Pavlenko.
According to information from the Deputy Head of the Administration of Yalta — Head of the Department of Construction and Improvement Irina Belomestnova, restoration work on the Rusalka beach is at the stage of completion of 40-45%. As a result of the disaster, pavilions and piers were destroyed here. Workers are planning to strengthen retaining walls and carry out waterproofing measures. It is planned to install forged fences and replace the covering in the recreation area. In addition to the renovation of the Rusalka beach in Miskhor, the Department of Construction and Landscaping entered into an agreement for the major renovation of the beach of the Ai-Danil sanatorium.
Other affected facilities are under the control of the Ministry of Housing Policy and State Construction Supervision of the Republic of Crimea. These include the beaches “Carpet” in Yalta, “Bashmak” in Simeiz, as well as the beaches of Parkovy, Gaspra, Otradny, Gurzuf and the sanatoriums “Miskhor”, “Sea Surf”, “Dulber”, — notes Irina Belomestnova.

The work is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of the summer season.
The next stage of restoration will cover 17 more beaches. It is planned for 2026.
