Bank protection structures damaged during the “storm of the century” are being restored in Yalta

Due to the large volume of work, restoration of objects damaged by the disaster will be carried out in several stages.

We are preparing to restore the bank protection structures that were damaged in November during the “storm of the century.” We are starting with 22 objects (39 in total need repairs), work here will begin in the near future, ideally should be completed by the summer. These are “Carpet” in Yalta, “Bashmak” in Simeiz, the beaches of Parkovoy, Gaspra, Otradny, Gurzuf, the beaches of the sanatoriums “Miskhor”, “Sea Surf”, “Dulber”, as well as “Rusalka” in Koreiz, “Frog” and the beach sanatorium named after A. Bobrova in Alupka, the beach of the Foros sanatorium and others.

At the next stage, it is planned to restore 17 more beaches, the completion date of all work is 2026.

Any repair is an inconvenience, please be understanding. Such a storm happens once every 100 years, and eliminating its consequences requires effort, money and time. I thank the federal center and the leadership of the Republic for the tremendous work for the benefit of the region, its residents and guests,” the press service quotes the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko.
