Banners and chevrons were consecrated at the training center for military rescuers in Sevastopol

A significant event took place at the Sevastopol training center for military rescuers and diving specialists of the Russian Navy (classes are held on the basis of the department of diving and special training of the Black Sea Higher Naval School named after P.S. Nakhimov). Boris Korchevnikov, TV presenter, general director of the first public Orthodox TV channel “Spas”, donated banners and chevrons with the Image of Our Lord Jesus Christ Not Made by Hands to the training center.

The rite of consecration of banners and chevrons was performed by the rector of the Church of the Archangel Michael, Archpriest Igor Tyshkevich. After the prayer service, Father Igor addressed all the military men with a pastoral word, congratulated them on such an acquisition, wished them to strengthen their faith and God’s help, and sprinkled everyone present with holy water.
