Be careful at ATMs — money may go the wrong way! Incident in Sevastopol

It was established that a 23-year-old resident of Sevastopol, while replenishing his bank account using an ATM, did not complete the transaction and left. The cash left in the bill acceptor was discovered by the next client of the banking terminal and, making sure that there were no strangers, she stole the money and then disappeared. The woman spent the stolen 21 thousand rubles on shopping. Having discovered the missing money, the victim contacted the police.
As a result of operational search activities, criminal investigation officers of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs for the Leninsky District identified the suspect and detained her. The attacker turned out to be a 52-year-old local resident— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”, she faces up to five years in prison.
