Beauty did not work out: in the Black Sea region of the Republic of Crimea a criminal case was opened against a cosmetologist

The Main Investigation Department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol opened a criminal case against a self-employed cosmetologist. She is suspected of providing services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in negligence in causing grievous harm to health (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
A 52-year-old resident of the Chernomorsky district contacted the investigative authorities and reported that she had suffered from the actions of a private cosmetologist. It was established that the citizen, in the absence of a license, the necessary medical education and practice, provided paid services at home with a device purchased through an online store. As a result of blepharoplasty performed on a resident of the Black Sea region, the latter developed indelible wounds and postoperative scars on her face,” the department’s press service reported.
Currently, the investigator of the Razdolnensky Interdistrict Investigation Department has appointed a commission medical examination, all necessary investigative actions are being carried out, and other victims of the actions of the private cosmetologist are being identified.
