An analysis of the assortment in retail chains in Crimea showed that prices for some socially significant goods are inflated by up to 90% of the premium cost. The Head of the Republic Sergei Aksyonov announced this today.
According to the press service of the Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, during a meeting with the head of the republican Ministry of Industry Anushavan Agadzhanyan, criticized the activities of Crimean retail chains and manufacturers due to increased prices for socially significant goods
Anushavan Aghajanyan, in particular, said that during the monitoring of prices for food products in the republic, existing chains between manufacturers, suppliers, distribution companies and retail chains were analyzed.
For 14 types of socially significant goods, facts were revealed that the premium cost exceeded up to 68%, and for some groups of goods – up to 90%. In addition, facts have been established that fall under the violation of antimonopoly legislation. The materials were transferred to the relevant structures of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for taking measures— informed the Minister of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea.
Sergei Aksenov called the current situation speculation.
This is a real robbery. I consider unreasonable markups to be simply immoral in relation to the population. It is unacceptable— said the Head of Crimea and instructed to find options to resolve the problem.
According to Sergei Aksenov, it is necessary to hold separate meetings with representatives of retail chains and manufacturers.
I ask everyone to determine the algorithm of actions for each socially significant product, we will discuss the details at joint meetings next weeksaid the Head of the Republic.
Sergei Aksyonov emphasized that the Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea takes control of the issue of pricing for 30 items of socially significant goods. The head of Crimea also added that based on the results of the meetings and the actions taken, the Government of the Republic of Crimea will present the Crimeans with a list of bona fide entrepreneurs.
Separately, Sergei Aksyonov highly appreciated the work done by Anushavan Agadzhanyan (who recently headed the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Crimea).
