Behave decently in the forest: the fire danger regime has been lifted in Sevastopol, but the fire season continues

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A special fire regime is a set of measures to reduce the risk of natural fires. It was introduced in Sevastopol during the dry period and prohibited the lighting of fires, the use of barbecues, and the burning of dry vegetation and garbage.

Currently there are special regime restrictions removed. But the fire season is not over yet. In our region, it lasts from the beginning of abundant flowering until persistent cold weather, which has not yet arrived. This means that the risks of landscape fires are not acute, but are not excluded — remember this and take care of the natural resources of Sevastopol.

Devices for lighting open fires may only be used in permitted recreation areas. Their list is published on link. If you decide to use a grill, remember:

— it is necessary to maintain a distance to a coniferous forest — from 100 meters, to a deciduous forest — from 30, to buildings — from 5;
— the area near the barbecue with a radius of 2 meters must be cleared of vegetation and flammable materials;
— the grill itself must be stable and without damage;
— you need to keep a container of water nearby;
— do not throw burning matches and smoldering cigarette butts on the ground;
— do not light fires in the forest;
— do not leave garbage in nature, especially bottles and fragments — acting like lenses, they can cause a fire.

If the wind speed is more than 10 m/s, nothing should be burned.

If a fire is detected, immediately notify by phone 112 or the regional dispatch service of the Sevastopol State Budgetary Institution “Directorate of Protected Natural Areas and Forestry” by phone: +7 (978) 988-56-93.

Also remember, in Sevastopol you still cannot use pyrotechnic products — except for firecrackers, sparklers, and cold fire fountains.
