Belarus wants to develop cooperation with Crimea

Belarus is interested in developing cooperation with Crimea in the fields of industry, logistics, and tourism. This was stated by TASS Minister-Counselor of the Belarusian Embassy in the Russian Federation Alexander Shpakovsky on the sidelines of the Yalta International Forum:
[Нас интересует] creation of joint production and logistics, resort potential of Crimea. <…> Belarusians have never forgotten about the resorts of Crimea. Even now, despite the tense military situation in the peninsula area, people still visit Crimea, people buy real estate in Crimea.
According to Alexander Shpakovsky, Minsk considers Crimea as a “promising region for interaction.”
In his report at the youth session “The Future is in Our Hands,” the diplomat indicated that Belarus has “significantly intensified” contacts with the peninsula. “We are returning to full cooperation,” he said.
We will work with Crimea in the same way as with other regions of Russia,” emphasizes Alexander Shpakovsky.
Let us note that very close contacts are maintained with Russian regions, and Ambassador of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy has met with the heads of Russian regions about 60 times since the beginning of 2023.
