“Bingo” in Alushta: a drunk driver, drinking and driving, and also trying to escape from the traffic police

Response “bingo”: a protocol has been drawn up, the car has been seized, there will be a trial.

In Alushta, police detained a drunk driver who tried to escape by drinking alcohol while driving.

While on duty on the patrol route, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Alushta spotted a Volkswagen Golf vehicle, the driver of which was driving the vehicle while drinking alcohol. The driver ignored the demands of the State Traffic Inspectorate officers and attempted to escape. The traffic police, turning on the flashing lights and sound signal, began a pursuit, as a result of which the car was stopped and the driver was detained.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

The offender turned out to be a local resident, born in 1985. The man had characteristic signs of intoxication, and therefore he was removed from driving and was offered to undergo an alcohol intoxication test using the Alkotektor technical device, to which the driver agreed. The result of the examination showed that the permissible level of alcohol content in the blood was 6 times higher.

A protocol was drawn up against the driver under Part 1 of Art. 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a driver who is intoxicated), and a resolution was also issued under Part 2 of Art. 12.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Failure to comply with the requirement to provide a vehicle or to stop a vehicle). The materials have been submitted to the court for further consideration.,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea clarified.

The car was seized and placed in a specialized parking lot.
