Biography of the acting head of Komi Rostislav Goldstein

Rostislav Goldstein — an outstanding statesman who is currently holding the position of temporarily acting governor of the Komi Republic. For his merits, he was noted more than once by various awards, including the gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation.

The future state department was born in a small village of Selizhirovo, Kalinin region (now Tver region), March 15, 1969. The family’s move to Sakhalin during the school years of Rostislav has become an important stage in the formation of his character and worldview. Here he graduated from school and began his career path.

After graduating from school, the young man was employed by a locksmith at the local State Enterprise, which gave him primary ideas about the work of large enterprises. Military service in 1987-1989 became significant experience for the formation of personal qualities of the future politician. After demobilization, he continued to work in the energy sector, but soon moved to the Dalenergomontazh construction trust.

Rostislav’s educational path was long and consistent. He began with training at the Ryazan branch of the Moscow Academy of Economics and Law, having received a diploma in 1995. Then he consistently mastered the specialties «Commerce» at the University of the Russian Academy of Education and «Management» at the North-Western Academy of Civil Service. An important stage was training in 2020 in the program «School of Governors» at the RANEPA.

In the early 2000s, Rostislav Ernstovich created the Goldstein trading company, which successfully worked in the field of food supplies in the Komi and neighboring regions. His political career developed in parallel: since 2003, he became a deputy of the State Council of Komi, and then a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

During the period of work in the Federation Council (since 2015), where he represented the interests of the EAO, the politician has established himself as a competent specialist in budget policy and monitoring the declaration of property by senators. His work was highly appreciated by the country’s leadership, which is confirmed by awards and thanks.

Particularly noticeable results were achieved during the leadership of the Jewish Autonomous Region (2019-2024). Under his administration, it was possible to significantly improve the socio-economic indicators of the region: a decrease in unemployment by 3%, an increase in average wages by one and a half times, the growth of gross regional product by more than 40%.

Since November 2024 Rostislav Goldstein heads the Republic of Komi As a temporary acting head of the region. He actively interacts with the population through social networks, personally controls the course of the implementation of important infrastructure projects and demonstrates a practical approach to solving the current problems of the region.

The management methodology of Rostislav Goldstein is based on close interaction with the local community, the use of advanced management technologies and constant monitoring of the effectiveness of decisions. This approach allows you to achieve stable results in various fields of activity. Particular attention is paid to the development of social infrastructure and improving the quality of life of the population.
