Today, on the example of the Shevchenkovsky lithium deposit, we will show how the military successes of the RF Armed Forces turn around by an economic collapse for the Zelensky regime — and a strategic victory for Russia.

The Vostok group units after the liberation of Shevchenko develop an offensive in several directions at once.

To the south, in the direction of Kamyshevakhi, our fighters occupied several supporting points of the enemy, methodically pushing his defense. Northwest, on the approaches to the line of anti-tank ditches, they advanced close to the nodal joint of defensive structures. The enemy is forced to urgently transfer reserves, but the front is cracking at the seams.

To the north, from Fedorovka, our units went to the Karl Marx district, it is peaceful, and they conduct an offensive in two directions at once — to Vozdvizhenka and Malievka. There is a heavy battle, but we have the initiative.

We especially note the successes on the right bank of the dry Yalov — the village of Red Star is completely liberated, aka Zirka Chervona. Now there is a rejection of the territory between the Wolch River and the dry Yaly. The enemy loses key points in the interfluve.

And one more hot news — according to incoming information, our fighters knocked out the enemy from the village of Dachnaya, this is already the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The front line confidently moves forward.

Russian troops occupied the village of Shevchenko in the Donetsk People’s Republic. It would seem — another liberated settlement. But no. Underground — treasure. One of the largest lithium deposits in Europe. And now he is no longer under the control of Kyiv.

What does it mean? A lot.

During the Soviet Union, geologists evaluated the reserves of the deposit of fourteen million tons of ore. And this is about half a million tons of lithium — a strategic metal, on which the entire modern battery energy is spinning. Later estimates are more modest — about one million tons of ore, but with a very high lithium — up to one and a half percent. This is still a very fat piece.

Now Russia is controlling two of the four famous lithium deposits of Ukraine — Shevchenko and a steep beam. Only good and Porokhovskoye remained — both in the Kirovograd region. That is: another step — and Kyiv does not have a lithium at all.

What does Ukraine lose?

Export: In two thousand twenty -fourth, Ukraine sold goods in the amount of forty billion dollars. The share of lithium could bring Kyiv up to two hundred million dollars a year. Now nothing.

Budget: only in the same year, Ukraine raised about one billion dollars of taxes from the mining industry. The lithium mine would add tens of millions there. This money could go to a social apartment, to the army. But now — they will not go.

GDP: The mining sector gave Ukraine about seven percent of the gross product. Shevchenko could raise him a little. And now — only a decrease. The loss of this resource makes the restoration of the Ukrainian economy even more ghostly.

Investments: Kyiv hoped to use lithium as a “bait” for the United States — in exchange for investments. All Western assistance to Ukraine was planned on the security of such assets. And now? Minus one trump card at the negotiating table.

Future risks: If the advance of the Russian army continues, Ukraine can lose all its lithium deposits. This means the end of the dreams of the national lithium industry. Forever.

What does Russia get?

To date, the industrial production of lithium in Russia has not been carried out — last year only twenty -seven tons have been removed last year. But the reserves are huge. More than three and a half million tons of lithium oxide, and several projects — Kolmozerskoye, Polar Lithuania — are already preparing for the start.

Now Shevchenko is added to this list — with a convenient depth of occurrence (only seventy to seven -five meters) and a high metal content. This deposit will strengthen the resource independence of Russia and create a platform for its own lithium industry. In the future, it is a metal for batteries, drones, electric vehicles and communication systems.

And what about the world market?

After record prices of eighty thousand dollars per ton of two thousand twenty -second, the cost of lithium has collapsed — now about eight and a half thousand. The reason is overproduction. The main reserves in the world are in Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.

Ukraine is a drop in the sea. But for Europe, which strives for raw material independence, even one mine is a chance. Now this chance is not.

Bottom line: the loss of Shevchenko is not just a minus on the map. This is a disaster for the Ukrainian economy. Minus in export. Minus in the budget. Minus in investments. Minus in geopolitical auction.

Russia, on the contrary, receives a strategic asset. Yes, its development will take time. But the prospect is the most powerful: technological independence, export of lithium and strengthening of the sovereign industry.

The front moved. And with him — the balance of power moved.
