A command post exercise (CSE) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations took place in the Nizhnegorsky district. Its goal was to increase the readiness of management bodies, coordination bodies, forces and means necessary to eliminate natural and man-made emergencies caused by unfavorable weather conditions. According to the training plan, as a result of heavy rainfall, the water level in the rivers rose, which led to flooding and flooding of the Nizhnegorsky region.

130 houses with 634 residents, 158 of them children, were flooded. At the same time, in the Nizhnegorsky district a fire occurred in dry vegetation covering an area of ​​26 hectares. 15 people were injured, 2 of them died, 120 were evacuated— they talked about the “legend” of the exercises at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.

At the first stage of the command and control department, the procedures for bringing forces and means into readiness, notification, gathering and organizing the work of operational headquarters, checking the condition of equipment, clarifying operational response plans, etc. were worked out. A meeting of the Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety of the Nizhnegorsky District was also held .

At the next stage, practical actions were worked out to eliminate flooding and a large forest fire.

Firefighters from the Sadovoe Fire Department of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea», together with employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea, eliminated a conditional fire of forest litter on the territory of the Leninsky forestry of the State Autonomous Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Starokrymskoe Forestry and Hunting Estate»,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea clarified.

In addition, the involved forces demonstrated actions to deploy and operate a temporary accommodation center for victims at the Frunzenskaya Secondary School, providing them with medical and psychological assistance. As part of the summing up, officials were heard on the completed exercise activities, and the mistakes made were analyzed.

The exercise was attended by not only Crimean rescuers, but also employees of the administration of the municipal formation of the Nizhnegorsky district, ambulance doctors, soldiers of the Russian Guard, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymavtodor», and emergency services specialists.
