Boxers from Crimea and Sevastopol are medalists of the Southern Federal District championship in Volgograd

In Volgograd, on April 1-7, the Southern Federal District boxing championship was held among juniors 17-18 and 19-22 years old, as well as boys 13-14 years old.

Boxers from Crimea and Sevastopol won a whole bunch of awards at these competitions. The Crimean national team has 21 medals — 8 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze— reports «Crimean sport».

The winners of the Southern Federal District championship in their weight categories were: juniors 17-18 years old – Sabri Memetov (up to 54 kg), Daniil Kravchenko (up to 63.5 kg), David Kulbatsky (up to 71 kg) and Vadim Tsyutsyura (up to 86 kg), all guys from Simferopol, juniors 19-22 years old – Alexander Lagozin (KSP UOR, Krasnolesye, Simferopol district, up to 48 kg) and Razmik Khachatryan (Saki district, up to 71 kg), boys 13-14 years old – Andrey Klitsman (Leninsky district, up to 52 kg) and Ivan Skladanyuk (Bakhchisaray, up to 57 kg).

Silver award winners: juniors 17-18 years old – Andrey Timokhin (Bakhchisaray, up to 57 kg) and Ruslan Shikhmambetov (Saki region, up to 80 kg), juniors 19-22 years old – Anatoly Sharunov (Kerch, up to 60 kg) and Tamerlan Turgunov (Simferopol, over 92 kg).

The following climbed to the bronze step of the podium: juniors 17-18 years old – Edem Zhidovtsev (Bakhchisaray, up to 51 kg), juniors 19-22 years old – Mais Musaev (Alushta, up to 67 kg), boys 13-14 years old – Demirel Chapuh (Yalta, up to 42 kg), Platon Shcherbina (Simferopol, up to 44 kg), Gleb Moroz, Lyubomir Levchenko (both – Yalta, up to 48 kg), Bilal Germakhanov (Simferopol, up to 60 kg), Ivan Lemeshko (Yalta, up to 70 kg) and Nazar Potapov (Simferopol, up to 80 kg).

The Sevastopol team won 9 medals — 5 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.

«Gold» took: juniors 19-22 years old – Ivan Romanchuk (up to 75 kg) and Israfil Islamov (over 92 kg), boys 13-14 years old – Semyon Gavrilyuk (up to 66 kg), Vladimir Rogozin (up to 75 kg) and Andrey Andreev (up to 90 kg).

«Silver» in the asset David Aghabekyan (juniors 19-22 years old, up to 63.5 kg).

Bronze award winners were: juniors 17-18 years old – Semyon Kuzmin (up to 48 kg) and Avet Asatryan (up to 60 kg), boys 13-14 years old – Maxim Ermolaev (up to 63 kg).
