The Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a storm warning about possible frosts in Crimea. First of all, this information is for farmers and motorists.

According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on October 10, in the steppe and foothill regions of Crimea, frosts to minus 2 C are expected on the soil surface. On October 11-12, in the steppe and foothill regions of Crimea, frosts to minus 2 C are expected on the soil surface and in the air Under these conditions, there is a high probability of emergencies and incidents associated with damage and death of agricultural crops, possible damage to flowering and blossoming buds of early stone fruit cropsthe message says.

The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Republic of Crimea recommends following safety measures:

— take measures to protect plantings;

— to protect plants from frost, cover them with polymer film, non-woven material (spunbond), straw;

— in conditions of falling temperatures, refrain from long hikes in mountainous forest areas;

— drivers of motor vehicles, be extremely careful on the road, do not exceed the speed limit and strictly follow the traffic rules.
