Builders and bank workers — who makes good money in Sevastopol

The rating includes 100 cities of the Russian Federation with the largest number of residents and jobs, as well as the capital of regions. In this list, Sevastopol and Simferopol took 26th and 39th place respectively.

According to the studies, the industry with the highest salary for Sevastopol is construction, where the average salary is 127 thousand rubles.

In Simferopol, the most profitable, following the results of the first quarter of the year, showed itself the industry “Banks and financial services”, the average wage here is 114 thousand rubles.

The last lines in the ranking went to Elista (54 thousand rubles) and Vladikavkaz (57 thousand rubles). And the first South Sakhalinsk (445 thousand rubles) and Moscow (243 thousand rubles).

As the data analytics showed, a very significant difference in salaries between different sectors is observed within each individual city of Russia (the spread between the industry reaches 33%in 1 and 3). So, for example, if the average “financial and insurance” activities in the industry amounted to 184.8 thousand rubles, then in the “Education” industry it is 57.4 thousand, that is, three times less.

It is obvious that in regions rich in natural resources, people are massively engaged in their prey, in the seaside regions — fishing, and where the manufacturing industry is developed, the population is busy in industrial goods … Each city has high and low salaries in each city— analysts say.

So, for example, for the unconditional leader of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk rating, the greatest salary is noted in the field of production, and for Moscow it is a banking sector.

The results of the study show that in the hundred largest cities of the country the highest salaries are most often found in the field of «professional and scientific activity». The industry includes audit, law, accounting, architecture, land use, scientific activity, technical tests, certification, veterinary medicine, etc., being the most “profitable” for workers in eighteen cities of Russia.

The second place in attractiveness for earnings is occupied by the industry “processing production” — the highest paid in sixteen cities.

Large salaries are observed slightly less often in the sectors “IT and communication” and “banks and financial services”, which, according to the rating, became the highest paid in 15 and 13 cities, respectively.

In addition, in many economically weak cities, where the overall level of salaries is low, the “civil service” gives the best conditions for earnings in comparison with other fields of activity. Such a situation, for example, in Magas, which entered the final three rating with a salary of 61 thousand rubles.

The assessment of wages in the sectors was made on the basis of official statistics on average wages for the first quarter of 2025, taking into account the payment of income tax. The study discusses the salaries of permanent employees of industries in full circle of organizations in the fields of activity, where at least 3% of the city’s employees are occupied.
