Burglars were detained in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, operatives detained burglars who stole power tools and household appliances from private homes.
The police established that two local residents, 35 and 52 years old, previously convicted of theft, came to gardening partnerships in the Gagarinsky district to commit thefts. They chose houses in which the owners were absent, and while one of the friends broke a window and entered the home, the second at that time kept surveillance outside and warned the accomplice about the appearance of strangers. Expensive electrical tools and computer equipment became the criminal trophies of the burglars. The criminals sold the stolen property to random passers-by, and spent the money obtained by criminal means for their own needs, including the purchase of alcohol and drugs.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Police officers established the involvement of the detainees in two thefts totaling about 100 thousand rubles. Currently, the investigative department of the Department of Internal Affairs has opened a criminal case against the suspects under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, they face up to six years in prison. The defendants were chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.
