Burglary in Saki: do not provoke thieves, lock the entrance doors

In Saki, investigators uncovered a burglary.
A 21-year-old resident of the city of Saki contacted the police because 6 thousand rubles were missing from the pocket of her jacket, which was hanging on a hanger in the hallway of her apartment. The victim told police that she left the apartment door unlocked. As a result of operational search activities in hot pursuit, criminal investigation officers identified the suspect and detained him. An 18-year-old resident of Yevpatoria admitted his guilt and said that he managed to spend the stolen money— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The suspect had previously been brought to administrative responsibility three times, including for violating public order.
The investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saki» opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). For secretly stealing money from someone else’s apartment, a young man who has not previously been convicted may face a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to six years. The young man was detained in accordance with Art. 91 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
Police officers warn: to prevent your property from being stolen, you must take care of its safety in advance. If a theft has been committed, immediately call the police at 102. It is much easier to solve a crime without delay.
