By 2030, they want to create over 5 thousand new sports facilities in Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk took part in a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Crimea, where the results of the work were discussed, as well as the achievement of target indicators in the industry. In 2024, 1.86 billion rubles were allocated for the development of the industry, which is 4 times the amount of funding in 2014.

According to the recommendation of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, about 9 thousand sports facilities should be located in the republic, based on the population. Currently we have 3.8 thousand. By 2030, it is necessary to create over 5 thousand new sports facilities– quotes the press service of the Chairman of the Government of Crimea.

At the same time, the construction of facilities is not an end in itself, Yuri Gotsanyuk emphasized, noting that the most important thing is for people to use the sports infrastructure and become adherents of an active and healthy lifestyle.

The annual increase in citizens systematically involved in physical education and sports is more than 10%. It is important not to slow down. The plan for 2024 is 55.5%, and, what is pleasant to note, over the past 9 months we have already reached this level. At the same time, the average for Russia is 56%. By 2030 we plan to increase this figure to 70%, i.e. so that for 1.2 million Crimeans sport becomes the norm of life— informed the Prime Minister.

On behalf of the President of the Government of Crimea, together with local authorities, it is necessary to strengthen efforts to create sports clubs in municipalities.
