Ceiling collapsed in one of the apartment buildings in Kerch. Investigators are looking into the situation

The head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, ordered an investigation to be organized video messagepublished in a Telegram channel by residents of an apartment building on Repina Street in Kerch.
Citizens report the dilapidated condition of the premises, as a result of which the ceiling collapsed in one of the apartments. At the same time, numerous complaints to the city administration and requests to recognize the house as emergency have not yielded results. V.N. Terentyev instructed that as part of the inspection, the arguments of the residents of the house be thoroughly studied, documentation on this building be requested from the administration and the officials of the authorized services be assessed– the Investigative Committee reported.
The Crimean prosecutor’s office is also investigating the situation in house No. 6 on Repina Street in Kerch.
During the organized supervisory activities, an assessment will be made of the compliance with the requirements of the law in the maintenance of the apartment building, as well as the observance of the housing rights of citizens. The course of the inspection was taken under the control of the Prosecutor of Crimea Oleg Kamshilovthe supervisory authority clarified.
