The guests of the museum-reserve witnessed a historical event — the commemorative cancellation of postage stamps. Director of the museum-reserve Elena Morozova and director of the «Post of Crimea» Elena Prin took part in the solemn ceremony.
Recently Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree «On the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity». The holiday, which began to be celebrated in 533 year, was legally fixed 28 June 2022 of the year. It was established in the country in order to preserve traditional family values and spiritual and moral education of children and youth. For the first time in Chersonese, the holiday dedicated to the day of remembrance of Saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom is so widely celebrated. On July 8, theatrical tours, quests, master classes and thematic performances are held here. In Sevastopol, the Tauric Chersonese Museum-Reserve is one of the largest venues for the holiday.
