In Sevastopol, a working meeting of the head of the Department of Youth Affairs Marina Elephants and the chairman of the Russian Union of Youth Dmitry Pokrovsky took place.
The purpose of the visit to Sevastopol-the report-election conference was held, the new chairman of the Russian Youth Union was chosen. I considered it important to come to support, to understand what points of development, what support to provide. In Sevastopol, one of the largest organizations, which really does a lot for young people, is implementing many projects. We hope that now there will be a new vector, a new impetus for the development of a regional organization that will bring new projects and ideas that will help the youth of Sevastopol even more in the possibility of their implementation and use these opportunities,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Dmitry Pokrovsky.
Marina Elschenko, together with Denis Tsygank, a member of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the RSM from the Southern Federal District, discussed the plans for the joint work of the Youth Affairs of the city of Sevastopol and the regional branch of the RSM with Dmitry Pokrovsky.
During the working meeting, we talked about the projects held in Sevastopol: Russian student spring, Russian school spring, the competition “Young Persons of the Country” and the Student of the Year award, which has been presented for 10 years.
Also during the meeting, we talked that Sevastopol could strengthen its position as a platform for district, interregional and all -Russian events.
The Russian Youth Union in Sevastopol has achieved significant success since 2014. The flagship projects, which have been successfully implemented for several years, are well confirmed by this. We also continue to direct young people to the All-Russian stages, where they represent our hero city. An example is Tikhon of Poszhennikov, a student of a branch of REU named after G.V. Plekhanova, who became Mr. Mr. Students of Russia in 2024. This inspires other guys to strive for high achievements. Today we also discussed the possibility of turning Sevastopol into a site for district, interregional and all -Russian events. This is a great idea that will help strengthen the position of our city on the country’s youth map and provide new opportunities for our talented youth— shared the head of the Youth Affairs Department, Marina Elephant.
