Seryozha is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and mental development delay (MDD). He is a long-awaited, planned child who was born on time without complications. Until one year old, the baby developed within normal limits, but suddenly fell silent. From that moment on, a different life began for the family…
Having abandoned everything in their native Samara, collecting savings and the most necessary things for Seryozha and his older brother, the Borovsky family moved to Moscow. These years they lived in endless examinations to establish a diagnosis, daily developmental activities and socialization of Seryozha. Mom devoted all her time to her sons, and dad worked 16 hours, almost seven days a week, to pay rent, provide for his family and Seryozha’s constant medical treatment.
Now the boy has been undergoing rehabilitation for 3 months at the children’s inclusive center “It’s fun to walk together” and experts give good prognosis. The course is designed for a year; every step that Seryozha takes as part of his rehabilitation will contribute to his social adaptation and the development of skills necessary for independent living. But he needs your help.
