Chase in Kerch – drunk driver detained
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Late in the evening of June 4 in Kerch, at house No. 48 on Kozakova Street, employees attempted to stop a Mitsubishi Lancer car, signaling to the driver to stop. The man behind the wheel ignored the police’s demands and sped past.
Traffic inspectors organized a pursuit of the violator, who, during the ensuing chase, made dangerous maneuvers, including twice driving into the oncoming lane in violation of traffic rules, trying to escape. A short time later, police officers detained the reckless driver. He turned out to be a 45-year-old local resident— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
According to external signs, the man was intoxicated, and the examination confirmed this. The breathalyzer detected 1.07 mg/l of ethyl alcohol in his exhaled air.
The police drew up five (!) administrative protocols against the driver under four articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, suspended him from driving the vehicle, which was seized and placed in a specialized parking lot.
