«Chicked» for 16 thousand, now he can lose his freedom. The story from Sevastopol with someone else's bank card

The police of Sevastopol detained a suspect in the theft of funds from a bank card. The attacker turned out to be a 20-year-old unemployed local resident who, using someone else’s bank card, made purchases worth 16,000 rubles.
A 39-year-old local resident applied to the Russian MIA Department for the Leninsky District with a statement about the theft of her money. The day before, the woman lost her bank card and, having discovered that money was being debited from her account, she immediately blocked the credit card and contacted the police. During the operational-search activities, the criminal investigation officers identified and detained a young man who found a lost card on the street and decided to pay for food, smoking accessories, perfumes, and also his entertainment with it. The involvement of the detainee in the committed crime is confirmed by his confession and CCTV footage— told the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
In relation to the attacker, the investigative department of the OMVD of Russia for the Leninsky district initiated a criminal case under clause “d”, part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“theft”), he faces up to 6 years in prison.
