Children's drawing competition “Heroes of my family” starts in Tauride Chersonese

On February 23, we honor people who serve the Fatherland, protecting the peaceful life of the people.

On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day and in the Year of the Family, the museum-reserve, together with the My History Foundation, invites children from 5 to 18 years old to congratulate our men and warriors by taking part in a creative competition. As part of the “Heroes of My Family” competition, we invite you to remember the exploits of your loved ones and capture them in bright drawings— reported the press service of the Chersonese Tauride Museum-Reserve.

From January 16 to February 15, everyone needs to create an A3 drawing. Can be used paints or colored pencils. Finished works must be handed over to the administrator at the Eastern entrance group of the museum-reserve on the specified days from 9:00 to 17:00. Each drawing must be accompanied by an entry form signed by a parent or legal guardian (Appendix 1 to the competition regulations).

On February 16, a competent jury will sum up the results of the competition for young artists and determine the winners in three age categories: 5-7 years old, 8-13 years old, 14-18 years old. Based on the results of the competition, nine best works will be selected. On February 19 at 15:00, their authors will receive diplomas and memorable gifts at the awards ceremony. On this day, the museum-reserve will also host a festive concert “Time has chosen us”— noted in the Development Department of the State Museum-Reserve «Tavrichesky Chersonesus».
