Children's health camp «Laspi» celebrated its 65th anniversary

In the children’s health camp «Laspi» a solemn event dedicated to the 10-anniversary of the camp took place. Vice-Governor of Sevastopol Alexey Parikin took part in the celebration.
I am sure that some of the brightest moments of the youth of several generations of Sevastopol residents and guests of this camp are associated with this wonderful place. Today, Laspi is actively developing, a wonderful team is introducing new programs, and most importantly, it is making a serious contribution to the upbringing of the younger generation. And first of all, I want to congratulate and express my gratitude to the staff of the camp. I want to wish everyone a peaceful sky, prosperity and fulfillment of desires , — Alexey Parikin addressed those present.
In the 1957 year, the Sevastopol City Executive Committee decided to create a camp for rest and recreation of children, and already in June, the first director of Laspi, Marina Alekseevna Shabunina, brought the first 52 vacationers. During its existence, the camp has become the hallmark of the Hero City of Sevastopol.
For 10 years «Laspi» gave a lot of positive emotions to thousands of children. The camp works, develops, every year takes more than two thousand children from Sevastopol to rest. Now we are planning to switch to a year-round operation , — said the director of the regional children’s educational center «Planet detstva» Sergey Gridnev.
Now the 584 child is recovering in the camp. The anniversary shift is held under the motto «Laspi is the hit of my summer.» It contains the favorite activities of vacationers that have been held in the camp over the years: Neptune Day, dance marathon, Laspinskaya fair, sports competitions » steps of courage”, Miss and Mister “Laspi” and others. This year, Laspi began active work on April 1, the last shift will end at the end of October. The camp also hosts seminars, conferences, educational and thematic shifts.
