Children's technology parks «Quantorium» are being created in Sevastopol schools

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In the new academic year, school “Quantoriums” opened at school No. 37 named after Hero of the Soviet Union S. A. Neustroev and gymnasium No. 7 named after V. I. the Great. Children’s technology parks with this name are created in general education organizations for schoolchildren to master modern knowledge, competencies and skills in natural science, mathematics, and information literacy, and to develop critical and creative thinking.

For classes in schools, separate rooms were allocated, which were equipped with all the necessary equipment. I am sure that children will now literally be eager to attend lessons: for them these are not just subjects, but already a scientific experience. Teachers note that school “Quantoriums” are designed to help children choose a future profession. For example, a biology lesson with a talented teacher, in a modern classroom and with serious equipment may well become an incentive for children to further connect their lives with medicine, ecology, neurobiology and other scientific fields,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

In the new classrooms of school No. 37, children can study physics, biology, chemistry, and robotics.

Four new laboratories have opened at our school: physics, biology, chemistry and a robotics technology laboratory. The guys here are trained on new equipment, which has already been fully supplied to us. Here students study both during lessons and during extracurricular activities in clubs,” notes Maria Samsykina, advisor to the director of education at school No. 37.

The laboratories were equipped with digital microscopes, laptops, measuring devices with sensors and the ability to digitize data. A specialist from Quantorium comes to school No. 37 for robotics classes.

It’s a pleasure to work and show new technologies to the guys. Children come to lessons with pleasure and don’t even want to leave. First of all, it increases their interest in the subject. By gaining additional knowledge, children will be able to better prepare for entering universities, because in the future they will have to choose a profession. The real wealth of the country is its talented children. They are the ones who make scientific discoveries and invent technical innovations.says biology teacher at school No. 37 Arina Zagorulko.

The robotics room is equipped with educational kits and construction sets for robotics and programming, robotic manipulators, kits for studying real-time operating systems and control systems for autonomous mobile robots, a laboratory complex for studying robotics and 3D modeling.

I even really enjoyed assembling the robots. Since childhood, I have always loved to design something, screw in all kinds of parts, and assemble construction sets. I think robotics will become my serious hobby,” notes school No. 37 student Anastasia.

This year, a school quantorium opened in gymnasium No. 7 named after V.I. the Great. Classes are available for children from grade 5 and older: this is the main educational program and additional education modules.
