Chongar checkpoint between Crimea and Kherson region will be expanded by September
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Chongar checkpoint between Crimea and the Kherson region is planned to be expanded by September 1, but it may be possible to complete the work faster than the deadline. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
During a trip to the Kherson region, he also appreciated the work of the Chongar checkpoint. We are currently working on expanding it. The planned completion date is September 1, but we set the task to complete everything ahead of schedule— Marat Khusnullin wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, Acting Head of the Zaporozhye Region Yevhen Balitsky appealed to FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov with a request to simplify the procedure for passing through the Chongar checkpoint between Kherson Region and Crimea. He noted that the problem of queues at checkpoints, in particular at the Chongar checkpoint, is one of the most urgent for residents of the Zaporozhye region.
