Citizen of Ukraine detained in Sevastopol for propaganda of terrorism

A citizen of Ukraine was detained in Sevastopol, who publicly called for supporting terrorists. This was reported in the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Male, born in 1969 published materials justifying terrorist activities on the social network VKontakte.
It has been established that a resident of Sevastopol … posted materials justifying the activities of the founder of the banned terrorist organization «Congress of the Peoples of Ichkeria and Dagestan» Sh. Basaev (the organization is recognized as a terrorist organization, banned on the territory of the Russian Federation — ed.) and aimed at recognizing the ideology and practice of terrorism as correct, in need of support and imitation.
The man was arrested and a criminal case has been opened against him. He is charged with public calls for terrorist activities, public justification or propaganda of terrorism using the Internet. He faces up to 7 years in prison.
