Today, at the stadium of the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol, the “First in Sports” holiday was held, dedicated to the opening of the citywide Spartakiad of schoolchildren for the 2023-2024 academic year.
At the sports festival, the children took part in sports competitions in volleyball, mini-football, darts, long jump and mini-basket, as well as the game quest “Sports Activities”. And among the winners of the last Olympics, super cups were played for mini-football, Rugby School League, Leather Ball and White Rook. Throughout the day, everyone could learn how to provide first aid, take part in a quiz on knowledge of the history of sports, pass the GTO standards and learn about the events and projects of the “First Movement”, which started with the beginning of the school year– the press service of the government of Sevastopol quotes the city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The Schoolchildren Spartakiad includes 12 types of physical education and sports events, each of which is a separate all-Russian project. Most of them consist of multi-stage competitions, and some are qualifiers. Based on the results of the Spartakiad, the best schoolchildren in the region will go to the All-Russian competitions.
The main goal is the multifaceted development of Sevastopol children and youth, physical education of the younger generation. Rating points are awarded for participation in school stages, and results are summed up at the end of the year.
The sports festival “First in Sports” was timed to coincide with World First Aid Day. As part of the All-Russian project “First Aid”, students in grades 1-11 and students of professional educational organizations master theoretical and practical skills in providing first aid and competent behavior in life- and health-threatening situations. At the sports festival, first aid master classes were conducted by specialists from the Russian Red Cross and the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps.
At the end of the holiday, a ceremonial presentation of passports took place as part of the “We are citizens of Russia!” campaign. schoolchildren of Sevastopol who distinguished themselves in studies, social activities, sports, creativity and science. The guys, according to tradition, sang the Russian anthem and took an oath of allegiance to the Motherland, promised to be worthy citizens, faithfully serve the Fatherland, and protect the interests, security and independence of Russia.
