Coastal protection structures damaged by the disaster in November 2023 are being restored in Crimea

This year it is planned to overhaul 26 facilities.

In Crimea, work is being carried out to restore bank protection structures that were damaged as a result of the disaster in November 2023. This was stated by the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov.

This year it is planned to put 26 objects in proper order. As Aksyonov clarified, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Government of the Russian Federation agreed on the allocation of funds for these purposes from the federal budget in the amount of 5.1 billion rubles. Another 3.2 billion rubles will be additionally provided from the republican budget for the restoration of infrastructure and residential facilities.

According to the Minister of Housing Policy and State Construction Supervision of the Republic of Crimea Nikita Tarasov, in particular, 22 objects located in the Yalta urban district, two in the Alushta urban district and two more in the Nikolaevsky rural settlement of the Simferopol region will be overhauled. Currently, all necessary preparatory measures are being carried out, and the reliability of the declared estimated cost of the objects is being verified.

The head of Crimea emphasized the need to coordinate the time of repair and restoration work with the administrations of municipal districts, especially at night.

Contracting organizations have already been identified, and all of them, without exception, will begin work on the sites on April 15. We will try to resolve most of the problems by the beginning of the holiday season,” noted the Head of the Republic.

Aksyonov gave instructions to update information on all works on official websites Ministry of Housing Policy and State Construction Supervision of the Republic of Crimea and municipalities.

Nikita Tarasov also informed that, using funds from the republican budget, the restoration of the embankment of the city of Sudak had begun. Its total cost will be about 60 million rubles.

In addition, 7 million rubles are allocated for restoration work in the Geroevsky urban district of Kerch. Sergei Aksyonov instructed to take into account all the nuances when carrying out the work, so that in the future local residents would not have problems due to flooding of roads.

Another 280 million rubles from the republican budget are planned to be allocated to strengthen the road in the village of Morskoye, Sudak urban district. This work will also begin in April of this year. The head of Crimea added that the entire damaged area, including the embankment, would be repaired.

In general, Sergei Aksyonov said that the program for major repairs and reconstruction of the embankments of Crimea is designed for three years and will be implemented with the support of the President of Russia.

A total of 69 objects were identified to be repaired or reconstructed as part of the designated program.
