Colleges in Sevastopol are being checked for readiness for the new academic year

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On behalf of the Governor of Sevastopol, specialists are assessing the readiness of educational institutions. The Director of the Department of Education and Science, Maksim Krivonos, took part in the work of the commission. The head of the department visited the College of Service and Trade, where he inspected several premises and identified a number of shortcomings that indicate the institution is not ready.

It is a great pity that the college administration treated the inspection as an ordinary event. An inspection of several classrooms showed us that the institution’s readiness does not correspond to the previously declared level. I ordered that all comments be corrected as soon as possible and that the classrooms and workshops be brought into a decent condition. The pace of work in all areas should be increased.— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Maxim Krivonos.

It should be noted that six acceptance commissions are currently working in Sevastopol, assessing the readiness of 163 educational institutions. Visits are made to facilities under the jurisdiction of the Department of Education and Science (schools, kindergartens, institutions of secondary vocational education and additional education), to educational facilities under the jurisdiction of the Department of Culture (music and art schools), to educational facilities of the Sports Department (children’s and youth clubs), as well as to private educational institutions (schools and kindergartens). Buildings and classrooms where children will be located and classes will be held are inspected.

We have a growing number of young people who choose colleges, who want to master blue-collar jobs, to work in their native Sevastopol. We must provide decent learning conditions. I instructed the commission to be more attentive to inspections and not to allow indulgences, to check everything comprehensively: classes, workshops, dormitories– notes the head of the Department of Education and Science.

Let us recall that the inspection of educational organizations is carried out in accordance with the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, taking into account the fulfillment of the requirements of sanitary norms and rules, safety in case of emergencies and fires, compliance with the requirements for the state of protection of organizations from criminal and terrorist threats, the readiness of classrooms for the educational process, and other activities directly related to the preparation of the organization for the beginning of the school year. Therefore, the commissions include representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, the Russian Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as representatives of the deputy corps and parental assets.
