In Sevastopol, the Commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, presented military personnel with state awards of the Russian Federation and departmental awards of the Russian Defense Ministry.
For courage, heroism and high professionalism shown in the performance of combat missions during a special military operation, officers, foremen, sergeants and sailors were awarded the Order of Courage, «For Military Merit», medals of the Order «For Merit to the Fatherland» I and II degrees, medals «For Courage», «For Courage», Suvorov, insignia of the Order of St. George — St. George’s Cross IV degree.
The commander also presented awards from the Russian Ministry of Defense to a number of servicemen.
State and departmental awards were received by military personnel from among the naval personnel, flight and technical personnel of naval aviation and air defense, units of the marine engineering service, medical service, logistics and special forces of the Black Sea Fleet— the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
