Today, the solemn opening ceremony of the regional stages of the All-Russian competitions of pedagogical skills was held at the Sevastopol Center for Culture and Arts. The event was attended by Deputy Governor Igor Mikheev, Acting Director of the City Department of Education and Science Maxim Krivonos, heads of schools, kindergartens, institutions of additional education, members of the organizing committees and the jury of competitions.
I am sure that the tests will be held in an interesting, fair and competitive struggle. I would like to say a big thank you to the teachers who responded and respond every year, because I know that it is always difficult to find free time in the profession of a teacher. The number of contestants shows that we have caring, responsible teachers who love their work. Taking into account the fact that 2023 has been declared the Year of the Teacher and Mentor by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a number of events will be held in Sevastopol in which we will honor and thank our teachers. And professional skill competitions are among these events— said the vice-governor Igor Mikheev.
Regional stages of all-Russian competitions have been held in Sevastopol since 2014. Their goal is to identify, support and encourage talented teachers, increase the social status and prestige of the profession, and disseminate the innovative pedagogical experience of the best teachers in the country.
The key task of pedagogical competitions is the exchange of experience, knowledge and the opportunity for each of the participants to overcome themselves for further transmission of the acquired experience in educational organizations of the city of Sevastopol. Of course, the winners of previous years will be members of the jury and will share their experience of participating in federal competitions. At a meeting with the winners of last year, we talked about the fact that this is not the participation of one person, this is the participation of a large team, a team in each direction— said the head of the Department of Education and Science Maxim Krivonos.
It is planned to hold regional stages of the competitions «Teacher of the Year of Russia», «Educator of the Year of Russia», «Educator-psychologist of Russia», «Teacher of Health of Russia», «Teacher-defectologist of Russia», «I give my heart to children», «Master of the Year» and one city competition «Social teacher of Sevastopol». This year, 78 teachers will take part in them, in the past the number of participants was 54. In total, 2,602 teachers of Sevastopol took part in the competitions of professional skills over the years.
One of the most popular and iconic competitions is the Teacher of the Year in Russia. It has been held in Sevastopol since 2015.
For the third time I take part in the competition of pedagogical skills, in the nomination «Teacher of the Year». This is my conscious step, a great personal desire to prove myself. This year, 18 teachers claim the title of «Teacher of the Year», the first time such a number of participants. For me, the competition is, first of all, people with whom it is interesting to communicate, learn from experience and share your own. A teacher is a person who is always learning— said Rafael Sayfutdinov, a chemistry teacher at the Kazachya Bay educational center.
In addition to the regional stages of all-Russian competitions, a number of city competitions are held for teachers of Sevastopol, the list of which is expanding every year. So, in 2022, the city competition of professional skills «Social teacher of Sevastopol» was organized, 5 specialists took part in it. In 2023, 6 social teachers claim the title of the best.
