Completed overhaul of the ophthalmological center of the Semashko Crimean Republican Hospital

In the structural unit «Ophthalmological Center» GBUZ RK «Republican Clinical Hospital named after. ON THE. Semashko” overhaul was completed within the framework of the departmental target program “Modernization of state healthcare institutions in order to bring them up to federal standards and regulations”. Participation in the opening of the ophthalmology was taken by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya.

The building was completely renovated within two and a half years. In total, 409 million rubles were allocated for major repairs and 11 million for the purchase of new equipment. To date, the center’s bed capacity is 64 round-the-clock beds, but in the near future it is planned to expand its capacity to 96 beds. Also, the ophthalmological center provides the possibility of providing medical care in a day hospital.— said Elena Romanovskaya.

During the repair of the four-story building, all engineering networks, windows and doors were replaced, the facade was repaired, and measures were taken to ensure the accessibility of the building for the disabled and other people with limited mobility.

As Elena Romanovskaya noted, today the ophthalmological center has a full range of diagnostic equipment, including an X-ray room, equipped with four modern operating rooms, which allows increasing the number of surgical interventions performed not only for residents of the Republic of Crimea, but also for patients from Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

Admission of patients in the renovated building of the Ophthalmological Center will begin on June 19, 2023.
