Congratulation of the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov on the feast of the Holy Trinity

I am glad to congratulate Orthodox Christians on the Day of the Holy Trinity!

Pentecost is one of the main and most revered Christian holidays. It is dedicated to the most important event of the gospel history — the descent of the Holy Spirit onto the apostles, which endowed them with the gift to speak different languages, filled their words with divine power.

According to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, the Holy Spirit “acts on a person, giving him the strength to overcome the gravity of sin, temptations and do good deeds when and where it seems impossible.”

In honor of the Holy Trinity, many churches have been erected in our country. The Holy Trinity Cathedral in Simferopol is one of the main attractions of the capital of Crimea. It is symbolic that the famous icon of Andrei Rublev is being handed over to the Orthodox Church today.
