Congratulations from the Head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Congratulations from the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov on the holiday in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

November 4 is a double holiday. Orthodox Christians today celebrate the Day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. This is the miraculous image in front of which Prince Pozharsky prayed before the liberation of Moscow from the Polish invaders.

A year ago, our Patriarch announced the discovery of the original icon and presented the image after the Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin.

We believe that this is not accidental; it is not for nothing that they say that those who believe in chance do not believe in God.

We believe that the Most Holy Theotokos will preserve our Fatherland today, as She has preserved it for many centuries.

A reflection of this faith, this popular veneration, are churches in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God throughout the Russian land. One of these temples is the Kazan Cathedral in Feodosia, built at the beginning of the 20th century.

We, like many generations of our ancestors, will pray to the Queen of Heaven for the preservation and prosperity of Russia, for our soldiers, for unity and victory over evil.

Most Holy Theotokos, save us!

Happy holiday, brothers and sisters! – states the congratulations of the Head of the Republic.
