Conscripts from Sevastopol will not be sent to the Northern Military District zone and deployment points in new regions

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The annual autumn conscription, which runs from October 1 to December 31, started in Sevastopol. About 500 residents of Sevastopol aged 18 to 27 will go to compulsory military service.

Conscripts will not be sent to participate in the tasks of a special military operation, as well as to the points of deployment of units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in new regions of the Russian Federation: Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. There are enough contract soldiers and volunteers to carry out the tasks of the special operation, so the General Staff has no plans for additional mobilization measures. Served conscripts will be promptly dismissed and sent to their places of residence— note the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.

The duration of military service, as before, will be 12 months. Most of the conscripts will serve in the Black Sea Fleet and in the troops of the Southern Military District. Sending citizens to places of military service will begin in accordance with the plan.

From October 17, the Ministry of Defense will open a direct telephone line. It will be possible to get answers to all questions related to the call. It will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 12:00 Moscow time.
