Consequences of March 23: 289 applications were received for compensation for damage from a missile attack
CrimeaPRESS reports:
For compensation for damage to property of citizens as a result of a missile attack on March 23, reports «Sevastopol newspaper»289 requests were received from Sevastopol residents, of which 216 were for real estate and 73 for cars, Director of the Department of Public Security Alexey Krasnokutsky reported at a staff meeting on April 8.
As it was said, payments to citizens whose property was damaged as a result of rocket fire are made based on the actual damage caused, based on the decision of a specially created commission.
In order to receive compensation payments, a citizen or his legal representative submits an application to the local administration at the location of the property. The application can be submitted in writing, by contact numbers of the administration or sent by mail,” explained Alexey Krasnokutsky.
The period for filing a complaint with the municipal commission is 6 months from the date of damage to the property and 30 days in case of damage to the vehicle.
Based on the applications received, municipal commissions work to inspect residential and non-residential premises and draw up appropriate inspection reports. The received documents are sent within one working day to the damage determination commission, headed by First Deputy Governor Alexey Parikin.
For cars, documents are first sent to the Department of Transport, which analyzes the market value of damage and submits reports from municipal commissions within 20 days to the commission to determine the amount of financial assistance.
All materials are reviewed promptly as they are received. When making a decision and approving the amount of damage, payments are made from the reserve fund of the government of Sevastopol.
Currently, 63 materials have been reviewed, and the commission meets almost every day as materials are received. Of the 216 addresses, compensation is required for 172, while 44 are either common property that is being restored by management companies or people have applied for compensation without any real damage,” continued Alexey Krasnokutsky.
Cars will be paid market value
In turn, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev spoke about a long discussion about the amount of funds for the restoration of cars and the establishment of compensation limits.
And yet they made a decision taking into account the fact that people were hurt and it was a force majeure situation. There are cars that are completely lost. But taking into account the experts’ assessment of the market value, the damage will be paid in full, based on the analysis performed“, promised Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The head of the city also ordered to try to complete this work this week, and to include a representative of the security department in the commission, “so that a good cause is not overshadowed by fraudulent actions.”
During the subsequent operational meeting of the Sevastopol government, a resolution was adopted to allocate 4.155 million rubles from the city reserve fund for compensation of damage to individuals, with an explanation that this amount is not yet final.
